How do I create my first QR Code?
Create an account, open Projects, create a project, then choose Create QR Code inside that project. Add a name and an HTTP or HTTPS destination before choosing the supported style and export size.
Can I change the destination after printing?
Yes. The exported code points to a stable Serious Toolz redirect URL. Updating the destination changes the next redirect without changing the printed code or its slug.
Which export should I use?
Use SVG for professional print layouts and scaling. Use PNG for documents, social assets, or tools that do not accept SVG. Always scan the final artwork before distributing it.
What are the current free beta limits?
A workspace can keep up to three active projects and three active QR Codes, with up to 1,000 recorded scans per calendar month. Archived or paused items release active capacity. A QR link still redirects if recording capacity is reached.
How do custom subdomains work?
The workspace owner adds one project subdomain, publishes the displayed TXT ownership record and CNAME, then asks Serious Toolz to verify and activate it. DNS propagation and Netlify certificate provisioning can take time.
What scan information is stored?
Successful redirects store the QR identifier, timestamp, broad device/browser/OS families, referrer hostname, and approximate country when available. Serious Toolz does not store raw IP addresses, full user-agent strings, full referrer URLs, or persistent visitor identifiers.
Why is a QR Code unavailable?
A missing, disabled, or archived code returns the same safe unavailable page. Check its status and destination from the authenticated project. Public visitors are not told which condition applies.
Why did I need to sign in again on another domain?
Browser sessions are scoped to an origin. The branded production domain and an older Netlify hostname do not share cookies. Use the canonical Serious Toolz domain for normal work.
